Hilary Duff: 'It might be hard for Mike Comrie to listen to my new record'

Songstress Hilary Duff has revealed that her new album, 'Breathe In. Breathe Out', might be difficult for her ex-husband to listen to because it has very personal lyrics.

She told the Los Angeles Times newspaper that Mike Comrie might struggle to listen to some of the songs, but he knew she was a musician when they got together so it shouldn't come as too much of a shock:

"I'm sure it was hard for him to listen to some of the things I'm sharing about him. But that's my job. I'm an artist. He knew that when he married me."

Duff went onto add that while she loves music, she also loves being an actress and a mother so she won't be fighting to be the most popular artist out there at the moment: "Trying to penetrate the music world takes all your time - you have to hit every radio station, or they won't play your single, unless you're, like, Taylor Swift."

"That was when I realised that I really care about being an actress, a singer and having a life outside of both. So maybe that means I'm not going to be able to be where I was. I'm not going to be able to fight for being the biggest artist."
