Ella Eyre on debut album's delay: 'It was frustrating, but it was for the best'

Songstress Ella Eyre was originally set to release her debut album, 'Feline', back in 2014, but the record suffered a series of setbacks and is now scheduled for an August 14 release.

During a new interview with Digital Spy at Glastonbury Festival, the beauty explained that it's reassuring to finally have a set date in place and she's very excited to share the music with her fans

"It's a relief to not have a date that's changing, and that people are still excited about it."

"I was a bit worried that people wouldn't be that bothered, but if anything they are more now."

Referring to the persistent delays, Eyre went onto add that she is actually glad that things have turned out the way they have because she has managed to raise her profile significantly over the last 12 months so her album is likely to reach more people:

"It was frustrating but it felt like the right move. My profile was nowhere near as big as it is now, and I definitely didn't want it to fall on not many ears. At the time it was very frustrating trying to understand that, but now looking back, this is the right time to do it."
