Aussie band Little Sea credit 5SOS with helping to raise their profile

Australian newcomers Little Sea have thanked 5 Seconds Of Summer for helping to shine spotlight on talented music acts in their home country in a new interview with News.co.au

The band, comprised of Dylan Clark, frontman Andy Butler, guitarist Oliver Kirby and drummer Leighton Cauchi, signed a deal with Sony and actually went onto open for 5SOS at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney and again at The Tivoli in Brisbane.

Bassist Dylan Clark explained that being supported by a band as huge as the 'She Looks So Perfect' lads means a lot to them because the exposure is invaluable: "We had only been a band for about three months when we went to Newcastle to do one at Foreshore Park and I saw all these girls there, wondering if they were there for us. It was ridiculous; we hadn’t even released a song.”

Oliver Kirby added: "I feel like all eyes are on Australia with so many acts breaking here and then becoming overnight sensations elsewhere. The success of 5SOS and Iggy Azalea is helping younger Australian artists to get noticed. Hopefully it is the perfect time for us."
