Bleachers' Jack Antonoff on working with Taylor Swift: 'The process was so tiny'

Musician Jack Antonoff, of fun. and Bleachers fame, has revealed that working creatively with superstar Taylor Swift has been a lot of fun because not only are they friends, but they are also great at keeping the vibe laid back and open, which allows ideas to flow freely.

Speaking about writing with Swift, he explained that it was a great experience and one that led to huge things:

"The process was great because it was so tiny, and it led to something so big. Every band I’ve ever been in, it’s a totally different space. It’s like a different universe; your body’s doing the same thing, but it’s emotionally entirely different."

"She would send me the ideas on a voice note on her phone and everything was so tiny. It happened over email, or with just me and her in a tiny room, no big studios, no big entourage."

The hit maker added that it's great to see a track grow into something big because the work you put in feels incredibly worthwhile: “It’s amazing to see songs that were dreams of being big songs, become big songs. Because when you record in a huge studio and there’s lots of people around, that feels like you’re in an arena so it’s less cool, but these were made in bed.”
