Doughnut store owner on Ariana Grande's behaviour: 'She spat and was rude'

Earlier this week, security footage showing Ariana Grande seemingly licking doughnuts in a store with a few friends surfaced online and the owner of the store has now spoken out about the incident.

In the video, Grande can be seen laughing and joking with friends, before declaring "I hate America". Joe Marin, who owns Lake Elsinore's Wolfee Donuts, has now given a statement to the press about Grande's behaviour and described her as "rude":

"She was being rude. She kept telling my employee - an experienced doughnut server - she came to buy six doughnuts. She kept wanting the doughnuts in the back because my bakers were baking at that time. So my employee kept going in the back to go get the doughnuts that they were baking. Then she brought them out there and put them on top of the doughnut display, and she (Grande) sent her to go get some more."

"She was looking around, and that's when I saw she was licking two of the doughnuts. Then she went to another tray that was on top and there was a tray of powdered doughnuts. So I zoomed (the camera) into her mouth, and the powdered ones, she did not lick them, she spit (sic) on those. She spit on one of them, and she dared that guy she was seeing (dancer Ricky Alvarez) and he spit on it, too. I saw they were getting a kick out of it."

Cashier Mayra Solis, who was working when Grande came into the doughnut shop, told the Associated Press that the superstar didn’t actually purchase any of the doughnuts that she appeared to lick and added that "she was really rude".

The 'One Last Time' superstar, meanwhile, has since addressed the incident on Twitter and apologised for being disrespectful, telling her followers that she acted in such a way because she was disgusted by America's obesity problem.
