Brandon Flowers: 'I feel like I still have to convert people to fans at my shows'

Hitmaker Brandon Flowers has opened up about branching out as a solo star and confessed that he still thinks he has to 'convert' people into fans at gigs.

Speaking to Q magazine recently, the musician explained that he feels as though he's established himself enough as a solo artist to be able to call up other stars for potential collaborations, but still worries about holding his own without his band during headlining shows.

Flowers admitted to the publication: "I'm now in a position where I can reach out to artists whose work I adore. But even at a sold-out show, I'll still be thinking there might be some people I need to convert." He added: "For me, it's all about the show. I appreciate that with some bands you don't know what you're going to get and that's the excitement of it. But it shouldn't be frowned upon to do something consistently. We aim to please."
