Canadian singer and musician Shawn Mendes has revealed that he is forever indebted to his fans for allowing him to have such incredible opportunities in his life. 

Writing on his official Twitter page this evening, the 'Stitches' heartthrob confessed that he promises to make time for his fans whenever he can because he owes everything to them: "I will always stop to say hi to you guys unless I really have no time to. I owe you guys everything. I'll never forget that."

The star also teased that he's working on new music and told his 3.52 million followers that he's buzzing about something he recently wrote: "SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS SONG!"

During a recent interview with The Globe and Mail, Mendes opened up about the importance of staying grounded and admitted that he keeps his family around him: "A lot of it comes down to my family and people I hang out with, my friends not acting any different when I come home, my parents being really awesome."
