Kodaline bassist becomes latest star to get engaged in front of Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran has played Cupid yet again after Kodaline bassist Jason Boland got engaged in front of him at the weekend.

The musician proposed to his girlfriend Etaoin Corr on stage at Dublin's Croke Park on Saturday (July 25) during a Sheeran concert.

Glen Hansard had been called to the stage alongside Kodaline to perform Irish songs, with Sheeran then saying:

"Jay from Kodaline would love to say a few words."

Sheeran added on Twitter after the show: "Thank you to Kodaline and Glen Hansard for joining me on stage today to sing some tunes.

"And congratulations to Jay, what a way to propose!"

Last weekend Rixton singer Jake Roche proposed to Little Mix's Jesy Nelson on stage at the Manchester Arena as Sheeran performed.

The singer-songwriter travelled five hours just to make the one-off cameo.
