Bobbi Kristina Brown tests show no 'obvious cause of death'

Results from Bobbi Kristina Brown's initial autopsy have proved inconclusive.

The 22-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston passed away on Sunday (July 26).

She was found unresponsive in a bathtub on January 31 and never regained consciousness after being placed in a medically induced coma.

Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office carried out an initial examination on her body on Monday (July 27), but they found no "obvious" reason for the death.

They said in a statement: "The initial portion of the autopsy has been completed.

"The autopsy does not show an obvious underlying cause of death and no significant injuries were noted.

"No previously unknown medical conditions that could have contributed to death were identified. Additional laboratory testing will be performed.

"Subpoenas have been issued to obtain needed documentary information.

"We do not plan to complete the death certificate or determine a cause and manner of death until all test results are completed and all investigative, medical, and other documentary records are received and thoroughly reviewed."

Initial police reports at the time of her discovery noted her death as "drowning", but is unclear what caused it.

Bobbi is the daughter of legendary singer Whitney Houston and the only daughter of Bobby Brown.

Her mother Whitney was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel bath in 2012.
