The Guardian suggests that Zayn Malik could 'be the next Justin Timberlake'

It was announced this week that Zayn Malik has signed an impressive deal with none other than RCA, which is currently home to the likes of Usher, Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Sia, and Pharrell Williams, and British newspaper The Guardian has weighed in on this move in a new editorial.

The article was penned by journalist Harriet Gibsone and she explains that Malik has made some smart decisions since quitting One Direction, including sitting next to hip-hop icon Kanye West at Louis Vuitton’s show for Paris men’s fashion week and cutting off his floppy hair, which "insinuates toughness and maturity, deflecting from the tween heartthrob 'X Factor' days."

Gibsone goes onto write about Malik's decision to sign with management company Turn First Artists, who look after Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora, and suggests that he "boasted the richest, most soulful voice" in One Direction so has the talent to make a huge impact as a solo artist.
