Legendary TV presenter and former singer Cilla Black dies aged 72

Iconic television presenter and former singer Cilla Black has died at the age of 72, it has been confirmed. 

The sensation passed away at her villa in Spain and it has since been revealed that she died of natural causes. A police spokesperson told the press: "I can confirm the death of British national Priscilla White, aged 72. We are still awaiting autopsy results but everything at this stage is pointing towards her death being the result of natural causes."

Tributes have been pouring in for Black and Joan Collins tweeted: "I am so sad and shocked by news about my good friend Cilla. She was a resplendent and rare talent. RIP #cillablack."

Nicki Chapman added: "How very sad. Just heard the news. R.I.P Cilla Black. The First Lady of Entertainment." Singer Ronan Keating also tweeted about the sad news, writing: "Saddened to hear about the passing of Cilla Black. A true showbiz legend."

Blue's Antony Costa shared the following post: "Such sad news about cilla black she was such a lovely person..I met her so many times she surprised me at the age 14 for surprise surprise x." Presenter Gabby Logan tweeted: "Cilla Black was the complete entertainer/host in an era when everyone watched TV. She was a trail blazer. RIP Cilla."
