Louis Walsh: 'One Direction only have one more album left in them'

Music mogul Louis Walsh has predicted that boyband One Direction will probably only release one more album together before deciding to go their separate ways.

Speaking to Music Week, Walsh explained that they've enjoyed more success than he expected them to, so it seems logical that after their next release they might start to wind down because fame of that level isn't everlasting:

"I think there's one more album and that's it. They've had an amazing, amazing career – who would have thought? Not me, ever. One Direction had one thing going for them and that was Simon [Cowell]."

Walsh went onto praise Cowell for having such fantastic intuition where putting together musical groups is concerned, adding:

"Simon made it all happen. Nobody ever gives him the credit for what he does, but he and Sonny made it happen. He put them together - with my help, and with Nicole [Scherzinger], because I always wanted to do a boyband. But it was afterwards he got to work. I know Syco's operation and when they're on it, there's nobody better."

1D's new single 'Drag Me Down', however, has been the lads' most successful release to date as it broke a global Spotify record days after they unveiled it. Billboard also confirmed that it is the best-selling debut of the year so far in the USA so they're showing no signs of slowing down.
