CHVRCHES star Lauren Mayberry has spoken out once again about online misogyny after suffering vile comments.

The electro-pop group unveiled the promo clip for their new track 'Leave A Trace' on Monday (August 17).

However, a long thread on controversial website 4chan appeared to show a number of people make lewd comments about Mayberry, who appears at times covered in water.

The singer posted a link to the discussion thread on Twitter, adding:

"Dear anyone who thinks misogyny isn't real. It is and this is what it looks like."

Her band's account later added: "PSA: apparently wet hair makes you a "slut". Nice work, 4chan / humanity."

Mayberry has regularly spoken out about the treatment she receives from some online users.
