Jess Glynne continues to lead in the Official Albums Chart race

Songstress Jess Glynne’s incredible year looks set to continue as her debut album 'I Cry When I Laugh' takes an early lead on this week’s Official Albums Chart.

At the halfway stage of the chart week, combined sales for the the star's first record are more than double her closest competitor, last week’s leader Cilla Black with 'The Very Best Of'.

Glynne’s debut LP includes her five No.1 singles 'Rather Be' (with Clean Bandit), 'My Love' (with Route 94), 'Hold My Hand', 'Not Letting Go' (with Tinie Tempah), and 'Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself' as well as her Top 10s 'Right Here' and 'Real Love' (with Clean Bandit).

The remainder of today’s Official Chart Update Top 5 is made up of new entries; Bon Jovi’s 13th studio album 'Burning Bridges' is at 3, Britain’s Got Talent duo Bars & Melody start at 4 with their debut collection '143', and Disturbed debut at 5 with their sixth album 'Immortalized'. The record is set to be the U.S. heavy metal band’s first Top 40 album in 13 years and could become their first ever Top 10 this Friday.

Scottish band The Fratellis enter at No.11 with their fourth album 'Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied', Irish Rockers The Strypes land at No.13 with 'Little Victories', and Natalie Imbruglia’s 'Male' is at 14.
