Tyler, The Creator cancels a string of UK and Ireland tour dates

Tyler, The Creator has shelved a batch of UK and Ireland tour dates.

The rapper was due to visit the countries this week for two gigs and a brace of shows at the Reading and Leeds festivals.

However, the US star confirmed on Monday (August 24) at the last minute that the concerts were off.

Tyler, The Creator wrote: "DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES I WONT BE PLAYING READING, LEEDS, BELFEST AND OTHER SHOWS IN THE UK.

"SUCKS AND IM SORRY. I LOVE YOU, SAVE THE HORSES [sic]. "

The Odd Future man later added today (August 25): "THE CANCELING OF THE SHOWS ARE BEYOND MY CONTROL. AGAIN, IM NOT THE TYPE TO CANCEL SHOWS. ONLY WHEN ITS LEGIT NOT POSSIBLE, SORRY AGAIN =( [sic]."

The shows affected were due to take place in Belfast tonight (August 25), Dublin on Wednesday (August 26) and at Reading/Leeds at the weekend.

The rapper meanwhile recently asked Zayn Malik on Twitter for a collaboration.

The former One Direction man responded positively, saying that the idea sounded "sick".
