Photo and video sharing app Instagram has become increasingly popular since it was released a few years ago and many celebrities use it to update fans on their daily lives and whereabouts.

Tech Insider has now rounded up the Top 10 most popular celebrity accounts via Social Blade and the majority of stars featured are music artists. Reality TV sensation Kim Kardashian is at No.1 with an incredible 44 million followers, but 'Halo' icon Beyoncé is just behind at No.2 with 43.9 million. 

Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, and Selena Gomez are all included, and the other three non-music names all come from the Kardashian/Jenner family (namely Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian).
