Nick Grimshaw on 'X Factor' judging role: 'I will probably cry'

Radio DJ and TV presenter Nick Grimshaw has opened up about his new role as a judge on Britain's 'X Factor' and reveals that he gets emotionally involved in everything he does so expects he will shed a few tears on set.

Speaking to Digital Spy about this exciting new job, the star admitted that he feels very lucky to have landed it: "I think I'm most excited about all the fun that comes with it. When I worked on T4, I loved the fact it was a huge crew and a huge family. We were there week in week out and you got to know everybody. I feel like it's going to be like that. I can't wait for that element. We had a dinner at Simon's house just before Glastonbury and it was the first time everyone was together. Everyone really got on - we laughed all night."

"As for the nerves, I think what worries me is the six-chair challenge. Cheryl said it's the worst day of your life. It's really stressful. When you've got 12 people and you need to cut them down to six and it's in a live arena..."

Grimshaw added: "it's a funny one because I really connect with people and I get really emotional, so I don't know how I'm going to be able to say, 'You're a really nice person, but you're terrible at singing'. But I guess that's the job. I cry at things a lot, so I will definitely be crying."
