Ed Sheeran and Coldplay design T-shirts for Global Citizen with H&M

Clothing brand H&M have partnered to design special T-shirts with British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran (pictured below on the left) and 'Fix You' hitmakers Coldplay (on the right) for the upcoming Global Citizen Festival.

Both musical acts worked alongside the fashion retailer on the items, which will exclusively be sold in the United States. Sheeran explained that it was a great project: "I'm really excited to be a part of this exclusive line with H&M and Global Citizen to unite global citizens and get us a step closer to ending extreme poverty!"

The Global Citizen Festival shirts will be sold for $9.95 each with 25% of every sale donated to the organisation. Fans who buy a T-shirt or another selected recycled garment in store will have a chance to earn tickets to the festival. Another way to earn tickets is to donating their used clothing at any H&M location from today until September 17 so it can be recycled.

Global Citizen aims to end extreme poverty and will run a free-ticketed event in partnership with H&M that will take place on New York City's Great Lawn in Central Park on Saturday, September 26. Pearl Jam, Beyoncé, Coldplay and Ed Sheeran have all been confirmed to perform.
