Charlie Puth recalls crazy fan encounter: 'He almost killed me!'

'Marvin Gaye' singer Charlie Puth has opened up about his craziest fan experience and his story doesn't disappoint.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest today, the heartthrob explained that he recently called for an Uber car and the driver turned out to be a huge fan: "It affected his driving because he was a super-fan. And I don’t run into too many of those, but I ran into him. It impacted his driving and then it goes downhill from here."

"This is the worst part of the story… So he was swerving and someone hit him on my side. It just totalled the car completely because he was so floored by [me]. I became very excited to meet him and then very angry that he almost killed me. He was fine, I was fine, too, but the craziest thing, Ryan, I had to climb out the top part of the car!”

Puth went onto add that despite this awkward encounter, he really loves meeting his followers and will always make time for them where he can: “I always love running into fans and people who love what I do because my whole goal as a musician is to inspire people to do the same thing, like go make their own album.”
