The Libertines will donate concert profits to refugee crisis organisation

The Libertines recently confirmed a batch of UK shows at short notice and they have now revealed that money raised from ticket sales will be donated in order to help with the current refugee crisis. 

The band announced that they will be donating proceeds from their upcoming gigs in Nottingham, Bristol, London and Manchester to the humanitarian organisation Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS). Money raised from their Glasgow show Scottish homeless charity The Invisibles.

The rockers, meanwhile, will release their new album 'Anthems For Doomed Youth' on September 11 and tickets for their forthcoming shows were put on sale earlier today. The band's tour schedule can be seen here:

  • September 6 - Glasgow, Academy
  • September 7 - Nottingham, Rock City
  • September 8 - Bristol, Academy
  • September 10 - London, Electric Ballroom
  • September 11 - Manchester, Ritz
