Chris Moyles elated to be returning to breakfast radio show

Chris Moyles has revealed that he is returning to radio later this month.

The DJ will head a breakfast show on XFM's newly rebranded Radio X.

The Brit's first appearance on the network will take place from 6.30am on September 21.

He will be joined newsreader Dominic Byrne, who featured on Moyles' BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show until it ended three years ago.

Speaking to The Sun, Moyles said he has been given free reign on his new show.

The DJ said: "I was very clear it had to be with my team and me doing what I want to do, carte blanche. The fact I can do whatever I want is a huge thing for me.

"Radio's very safe in this country. You don't have to do a lot to shock people.

"They know what they're hiring. I've said I'll get figures up and make them money if they let us get on with it."

Other names confirmed for Radio X include Vernon Kay, Johnny Vaughan and Ricky Wilson.
