Shawn Mendes on nerves: 'You're not human if you're calm'

Earlier today (September 15), Canadian sensation Shawn Mendes hosted a Periscope Q&A session ahead of his headlining gig tonight at London's Shepherd's Bush and opened up about a variety of topics.

When asked if there's a common thread of inspiration behind his songs, the heartthrob explained that he draws from all different experiences and doesn't tend to just write about one thing: "No, I think they're all super different and can be totally random. Ed... I look up to Ed Sheeran a lot, Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars... those guys are really cool."

He was then quizzed on how he winds down after a busy day and added: "I probably just go to the gym or something, but I guess that's not very relaxing." The 'Stitches' sensation went onto add that he also suffers stage fright before every single performance: "Yes, I do get nervous... every time. I don't think you're human if you don't get nervous and if you don't get nervous, you're lying!"
