Justin Timberlake to voice animated character in new film 'Trolls'

Superstar Justin Timberlake has signed up to voice the lead character in DreamWorks Animation's forthcoming musical comedy 'Trolls'.

The 'Cry Me A River' sensation will appear as Branch, who Billboard describes as "a hard-core survivalist who hides his surprising true colours", and 20th Century Fox is set to release the fun film on November 4, 2016.

Singer and actress Anna Kendrick also joined the cast as Princess Poppy and the project has been directed by Mike Mitchell and co-directed by Walt Dohrn, the duo behind 'Shrek Forever After'. This isn't the first time that Timberlake has lent his voice to an animated character as he also worked on the popular animation 'Shrek the Third' along with 'Yogi Bear'.

Timberlake's other film credits include 'The Social Network', 'Inside Llewyn Davis', 'Friends With Benefits', 'Bad Teacher', 'Southland Tales', and 'The Love Guru'. His last project was 2013's 'Runner Runner'.
