Fall Out Boy are 'rooting for' 5SOS to continue succeeding

Australian pop-punk band 5 Seconds Of Summer have had an incredible career to date and they have a lot of support from their contemporaries, including Fall Out Boy.

Fall Out Boy's guitarist Joe Trohman explained to Billboard that he hopes they continue to enjoy success because they're great lads and have a lot of talent between them: "They’re genuinely nice guys and they’re good musicians. I’m rooting for them.”

Back in May, Trohman and FOB frontman Patrick Stump admitted that they've been chasing the chance to collaborate with 5SOS, but so far timing has prevented it from happening: "What’s crazy is we keep trying to have it happen, then it doesn’t happen. It’s one of those things. It’s timings and stuff. It’ll happen eventually.”

Benji Madden, of Good Charlotte and the Madden Brothers, also praised 5SOS and admitted that they're one of the better young alternative bands at the moment: "They’re 100 percent, absolutely a real band. They are one of the better young bands I’ve ever seen.”
