James Bay has cancelled an appearance at the Apple Music Festival tonight (September 28).

The singer-songwriter was due to perform at the event at London's Roundhouse as support for Florence + The Machine.

However, the slot has been pulled - as well as a Radio X session - due to illness.

Bay wrote on Twitter today: "Whatever is this crappy lurgy is that's going around, it's finally got to me.

"I'm completely GUTTED to say that I've had to cancel my set for Radio X today. Huge apologies to everyone who was coming along. Off to the doctor now to get fixed.

"And of course this rubbish cold means I won't be able to open up for the amazing Florence + The Machine for the Apple Music Festival tonight either.

"Going to get better as fast as possible! Have an amazing time tonight."
