5 Seconds of Summer confirm street art project: 'There's more'

5 Seconds of Summer say they are extending their secretive street art project as they build up to their new album release.

Fans across the world have recently spotted band-themed artwork sprayed in public.

It started last week when fans were given coordinates that led to the Annandale Hotel in Sydney - the venue of the group's first gig - which had street art on the side relating to the new song 'Money'.

Further art was found in Dublin and Amsterdam, with fans able to use the Blippar app to scan the graffiti and get a short video message about a song from 5 Seconds of Summer's upcoming album 'Sounds Good Feels Good'.

Speaking on Twitter today (September 29), the Australians confirmed that the project is continuing.

They wrote: "We wanted to show you what the new broken scene means to us, so we're trying it around the world.

"We've created characters from the new broken scene for every track on the album, because each song represents something special to us.

"You guys are incredible at meeting up everywhere, and we see all the artwork you create, so we've picked our own street artists to put up these characters in your cities.

"From now until the album comes out, we're gonna be telling you where you need to go to find the street art. We want to see photos of you guys with these characters so we can share your pics.

"And we're gonna be sharing what all of these tracks mean to us as you find them."

'Sounds Good Feels Good' meanwhile will be released on October 23.
