Rudimental racing towards UK No.1 album with 'We The Generation'Rudimental are set to bag their second UK No.1 album on Friday (October 9). The group released their sophomore effort 'We The Generation' on Friday (October 2). The Official Charts Company confirmed today (October 5) that the record is sitting pretty at No.1 on their midweek update. It is outselling its nearest competitor - Editors' fellow new entry 'In Dream' - by two to one. At No.3 is David Gilmour's 'Rattle That Lock', with Jess Glynne's 'I Cry When I Laugh' following at No.4. Completing the top five is Ed Sheeran's monolithic 'x', which is still selling well despite being released last summer. Avicii's 'Stories' is a new entry at No.6 while Squeeze's 'Cradle To The Grave' is No.7. Janet Jackson's new effort 'Unbreakable' meanwhile is in at No.8 as she homes in on her first UK top ten album since 2001's 'All For You'. Follow us: @Pressparty on Twitter / Pressparty on Facebook.
