Rihanna announces new album and debuts striking cover art

Songstress Rihanna has finally confirmed the title of her highly anticipated eighth studio album at an event in Los Angeles' Mama Gallery on Wednesday (October 7).

The record is called 'Anti' and she also debuted the offering's striking cover art, which was specially designed by Israeli-born New York-based artist Roy Nachum. Speaking to the audience at the event, the star explained: "This is my favourite album cover I've ever done."

Over the top of the image is a poem written by Chloe Mitchell in Braille, which the star explained is part of the album's statement about vision. Rihanna added: "Sometimes the ones who have sight are the blindest."

Music mogul Jay Z recently weighed in on Rihanna's delay in releasing new material and told Vanity Fair magazine that she is waiting until everything sounds exactly as she wants it before unveiling it to the world: “She wants it to be perfect.”
