Irish twins Jedward have revealed their excitement over a new song written this week. 

The cheeky pair took to their Twitter page late last night (October 10) and told their fans that it's such a good track that they're going to create a music video for it and get it out as soon as possible:

"Just finished a great song, can't wait to bring it out. Gonna make a music video for it ASAP."

The boys recently sat down for an interview with Britain's The Mirror and joked that they want to oust Geordie duo Ant and Dec from the spotlight and then become the nation's favourite presenting duo themselves. They don't take too kindly to comparisons to the well-loved pair because they told the newspaper: "No we are not like Ant and Dec! We are like John and Edward."

Back in August, John and Edward Grimes opened up about the music they make together and told their Twitter followers that as long as they can reach fans through their lyrics, they are happy:

"We have changed some people's lives and gave them a purpose to shine and helped them see their inner awesomeness!! Love you all. Every song we create is an emotion that belongs to u so u can apply the lyrics to your life we've expressed these feelings to help you grow. We have learned so much stuff - it's all about gathering experiences that shape who you are! We have our own lane in the music scene that rocks."
