Naughty Boy has admitted he was 'hurt' by public Zayn Malik spat

Naughty Boy says he was initially "hurt" by his fall-out with Zayn Malik.

The producer and the former One Direction singer had been working for months on new music.

However, Malik posted a series of tweets in the summer that criticised Naughty Boy's character, telling him to stop thinking they were friends.

Speaking to Capital FM, the producer said that he was taken aback by the comments - but it's something he is now over.

The 'La La La' man said: "I was hurt by it but at the same time there’s been a whole transition from our friendship to everything that’s happened with the band and the Twitter thing is neither here nor there for me.

“You can let that affect you in a certain way but you don’t have to. Just as much as someone is going to shout abuse at you, someone is going to show you love and that’s just as powerful."

Naughty Boy meanwhile recently released his new Beyoncé collaboration 'Runnin' (Lose It All)'.
