The Weeknd has been fined for punching police officer in the headThe Weeknd has been landed with a fine and unpaid work after being accused of punching a police officer in the head. The Canadian musician was involved in a scuffle at the Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas in January. The 25-year-old - real name Abel Tesfaye - is said to have punched an officer after the fight fizzled out. The Weeknd, famed for the track 'I Can't Feel My Face', pleaded no contest to the charge and offered no defence. As a result, he was told to pay $1,000 (£650) an injured police officers' fund, as well as complete an anger management class. The Weeknd has also been ordered to attend a scheme for people who offend after excessive alcohol consumption. In addition, the musician will have to undertake 50 hours of community service.
