Jess Glynne on Children In Need single: 'It's about surviving hardship'

British vocalist Jess Glynne has been discussing her official Children In Need single.

The ‘Rather Be’ star is set to release ‘Take Me Home’ on November 13 with all proceeds going towards helping disadvantaged children in the UK.

Speaking to NME about ‘Take Me Home’ Glynne revealed the inspiration behind the track:

“It’s a really personal song of mine that I wrote when I was in quite a dark place. It’s weird, because when I was finishing the album, I listened to the track again and I had a smile on my face because now it’s not so much about being in a dark place, but rather, it’s about getting through hardship.”

She added: “I think, because of that, it fits well for the charity. It makes so much sense.”

Jess Glynne will be performing on the Children In Need BBC telethon on November 13. Other artists confirmed for the night include Selena Gomez and Years & Years.
