Wolf Alice react to receiving their first GRAMMY nomination

Amongst the British nominees for the 2016 GRAMMY Awards are indie guitar band Wolf Alice who have given their reaction to receiving recognition from the prestigious American music industry association.

Despite losing out on winning the Mercury Music Prize earlier this year for their debut album ‘My Love Is Cool’, the four-piece group are now thrilled to be amongst the nominees for Best Rock Performance at the GRAMMYs.

The group’s single ‘Moaning Lisa Smile’ will be competing for the title of Best Rock Performance against the likes of Florence + The Machine’s ‘What Kind Of Man’, ‘Don’t Wanna Fight’ by Alabama Shakes, Foo Fighters’ ‘Something From Nothing’ and ‘Ex’s and Oh’s’ by Elle King.

Taking to Twitter after receiving news of their nomination, Wolf Alice tweeted:

“HOLY SHIT GOT A GRAMMY NOMMER BEST ROCK PERFORMANCE PROPER CHUFFED U ROCK LISA SIMPSON”.

The 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards will air on February 18.
