Rapper and actor Will Smith has stated he would enter the presidential race if it meant he had a chance of preventing Donald Trump from getting into office.

When asked about the highly controversial comments made by the Republican businessman-turned-politician on his hope to ban all Muslims from entering America, Smith said to CBS:

“If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they’ve been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they’re going to force me into the political arena.”

When asked which political role he would run for, the ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ star responded: “I mean, I gotta be the president. Come on! What else would I run for?”

Earlier this year Will Smith revealed he plans to go on tour with his former hip hop collaborator DJ Jazzy Jeff in 2016.
