LL Cool J announced as the host of the 2016 GRAMMY Awards

The host of the 58th annual GRAMMY Awards has been announced.

Rapper and actor LL Cool J will be presenting the prestigious music ceremony for the fifth year running.

President and CEO of the Recording Academy, Neil Portnow, said of Cool J’s appointment: “We are delighted to welcome back the very talented LL Cool J as our host… His unique expertise, both as a Grammy-winning recording artist and accomplished actor, allows him to connect with both his musical peers and fans at home, and his dynamic personality and charismatic energy set the perfect tone for our show.”

Looking ahead to the night in question, LL Cool J stated: “I’m honoured once again to host music’s biggest night as we celebrate the talented music creators of today.”

He added: “It’s going to be an incredible night and I’m excited to share this experience with the world.”

LL Cool J will host the 58th GRAMMY Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 15.
