Music stars pay tribute to late Motörhead frontman Lemmy

A host of music stars have been paying tribute to Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister after he died age 70.

The singer and musician passed away on Monday (December 28) after being diagnosed with cancer two days earlier.

The music world has been paying tribute to the iconic rock 'n' roller, with Ozzy Osbourne writing online:

"Lost one of my best friends, Lemmy, today. He will be sadly missed. He was a warrior and a legend. I will see you on the other side."

Billy Idol added: "Lemmy RIP….@myMotorhead my condolences to his family..."

Metallica tweeted: "Lemmy, you are one of the primary reasons this band exists. We're forever grateful for all of your inspiration. RIP."

Gene Simmons said: "Lemmy: Rest In Peace, my friend."

Kilmister had suffered a number of health problems over the last few years, with some shows cancelled.
