Tame Impala say they're 'really happy' with Rihanna cover

Tame Impala have revealed their delight at seeing Rihanna cover one of their songs.

The singer put her spin on 'New Person, Same Old Mistakes' for her latest album 'Anti'.

It has been reworked into the track 'Same Ol' Mistakes' - and it seems mainman Kevin Parker is happy with the results.

A rep for the band told Digital Spy: "The Roc Nation team got in touch with us here at Spinning Top letting us know that Rihanna loved the Tame Impala track 'New Person, Same Old Mistakes'.

"They asked if she could cover the song for her new record - Kevin was more than happy to send it her way. We're all really happy with how the song turned out, love it!"

Rihanna initially released her eighth album this week on Tidal, bringing one million subscribers to the streaming platform via download codes.

While it is now on iTunes, physical copies will be released next Friday (February 5).
