Animal rights group tells Justin Bieber not to get another monkey

Canadian sensation Justin Bieber made headlines back in 2013 after adopting then abandoning a monkey named Mally

In a recent interview, the 'Sorry' heartthrob admitted that it was a shame he had to let go of the pet, but would definitely get another one in the future if the opportunity presented itself. Bieber told GQ magazine: "People are always like, ‘Why did you get a monkey?’ If you could get a monkey, well, you would get a f**king monkey, too! Monkeys are awesome.”

Now, a spokesperson for the North American Primate Sanctuary Alliance has issued a public statement addressed to Bieber that warns him against adopting another monkey:

“[It] will prove dangerous to both you and your monkey, as well as irresponsible when it comes to public following. Please do not repeat this foolish endeavour.” The organization also explained that it's “simply not possible to fulfil the unique needs of your monkey within a private home.”
