Adele and Coldplay are odds-on favourites to reign supreme at this year's Brit Awards.

The event is taking place on Wednesday (February 24) at London's O2 Arena.

Bookmaker William Hill has placed Adele as overwhelming favourite to bag the showpiece British Album prize for her effort '25'.

They have odds of 1/16, with Coldplay's 'A Head Full of Dreams' priced at 9/1.

Adele is also the favourite for the Best British Female prize, with the singer having the same odds.

Coldplay are 3/10 on to win the Group category ahead of the likes of One Direction and Blur.

William Hill has placed James Bay meanwhile as the favourite for the Best British Male gong.
