T.I.’s wife charged with drug possession
When it rains it pours for rapper T.I., as his wife Tameka Cottle has been charged with possession of ecstasy.
The ‘No Mercy’ rapper and his wife were arrested after being pulled over by police in Los Angeles last month after smelling marijuana. A search of the vehicle also found a small amount of ecstasy.
After the arrest and a subsequent failed drug test, T.I. was found to be in violation of probation from a previous weapons charge (for which he served 10 months jail time) and has been sentenced to 11 months in prison.
In light of this, the possession charges against T.I. were dropped. However, the Los Angeles District Attorney is going ahead with the charges against Cottle. If found guilty, she faces up to one year in prison.
Troubled T.I. begins his latest prison term on November 1.
