Zedd: 'I'm serious about my offer to work with Kesha on new music'

Hitmaker Zedd has revealed that his offer to produce music for Kesha was a serious one and he wants to help her music career

Kesha has been embroiled in a legal battle for some time with Dr. Luke, who she claimed drugged and raped her, but in February she was denied an injunction that would allow her to record outside of her contract.

After this news broke to the public, Zedd took to his Twitter page and told her that he would like to get into the studio with her: "Very very sorry to hear about the whole situation. I'll be happy to produce a song for you if you want my help."

Zedd has now told Entertainment Tonight that he was serious when he sent the message: "Her team actually hit us back confirming that I was serious about it, which is really cool. I'm obviously very serious about it, so maybe something will happen. Maybe there's something I can do. Maybe we can do some music. Nothing I can say right now, but it would be cool."

He added: "All I know is that she's in a very rough position and if there's anything I can ever do to help I'll always be happy to do that. I just read an article about (the case), literally right before I made the tweet because I didn't know her personally. I thought sending a tweet was kind of the best way to get in touch with her. The only thing I can really do to help is produce songs and that's what I offered."
