Little Mix's Jade shuts down 'homophobic and ignorant' commenter

Songstress Jade Thirlwall, of Little Mix fame, has shut down a "homophobic, ignorant and warped" commenter on Instagram.

The 'Black Magic' superstar shared a photograph of legendary drag queen Ru Paul on her Instagram page last night (March 16) and someone posted the following message into the comments section: "I don't know whether it's a boy or girl, but Jade how can you support these kinds of things? That's stupid. Not normal at all."

Upon seeing the response, Thirlwall replied publicly and wrote: “How can I support other beautiful people? Quite easily actually. If you don’t ‘support’ these kind of ‘things’ (assuming you mean drag queens or the gay community) then I suggest you go and comment on somebody else’s Instagram. Someone just as homophobic, ignorant and as warped as yourself. SASHAY. AWAY.”

Thirlwall is known for speaking her mind among the group as back in December, she condemned the bombing of Syria, which you can read about here, and earlier this week she addressed the criticism she and the other Little Mix members have faced for their revealing tour outfits.

On March 15 she told The Sun newspaper that there's such a double standard:

"We love our leotards. One, they are comfy to dance in. Two, we are sweating our t*ts off so it is a lot cooler wearing a leotard, and three, if a bloke gets his top off on stage, everyone praises him and shouts, 'Yay, they've got their top off'. Then as soon as we come on and we're in our leotards, all of a sudden there's an issue with getting your thighs out. It is liberating. We wear what we want to wear and we are still true to ourselves... I don't think it is overly sexual. If you wear a bikini on the beach, why can't you wear a leotard on stage?"
