X Factor contestant Katie Waissel features on the album of an American recording artist.

Bosses of the popular ITV talent show say they only recently discovered that Waissel, who reportedly had a recording contract prior to joining the programme, duets on U.S singer/songwriter David Reed’s album track, ‘Moving Mountains’.

Despite this revelation, bosses have said that she hasn’t broken any rules and saved her place when she fell into the bottom two, for the fourth time during the series, on last night’s (November 14) show.

Waissel took to her Twitter account earlier today, November 15, to address the rumours and news surrounding her:

“I have to laugh, apparently now i'm 'fleeing' to the US! c'mon give us a break!! Stop writing all this nonsense!! it hurts!!”
