Former S Club 7 pop star Rachel Stevens and her husband Alex Bourne have welcomed their first child.

Stevens, 32, gave birth in the early hours of this morning (November 16) in London’s Portland Hospital and her publicist, Liz Matthews, announced that the baby girl has been named Amelie.

Matthews also added:

“She arrived this morning at 2.05am. Mother and baby are both doing really well.”

The couple took the traditional route with the pregnancy and decided they would wait to find out the sex of their baby, although Stevens had previously said that her family thought that she would have a girl.
