Pink has confirmed rumours and announced that she is pregnant, saying she kept the news a secret because she had previously suffered a miscarriage.

The ‘Trouble’ singer had sparked rumours when she was on holiday and was photographed frolicking on a beach with a visible baby bump. However, in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres to be aired today (November 17), the singer put an end to speculation, revealing “I’m eating for two these days.”

She added to pal DeGeneres: "I didn't want to talk about it because I was just really nervous and I have had a miscarriage before, but if I was going to talk about it with anyone, it was going to be with you."

Pink also said that the pregnancy with husband Carey Hart is no surprise as the couple had been working for a long time to conceive.

"I worked for it,” she said. “It was not an 'Oops'!”
