Stormzy, Fifth Harmony and 1D in Biggest Songs of 2016 list

The Official Charts Company has unveiled its 40 Biggest Top 40 Singles of 2016 list and it includes an eclectic array of genres. 

With the first quarter of the year over, the biggest songs (which were determined by combined digital, physical and streaming equivalent sales) have been announced and Lukas Graham's '7 Years' is at No.1.

The Official Charts Company confirmed that "its chart sales stand at 857,000, including 39 million streams and 466,000 digital/physical sales. '7 Years' also currently holds the biggest one-week combined sales figure for a Number 1 single this year, shifting 134,000 in seven days during its second week at the top."

At No.3 with 'Stitches' is Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes (649,000), Little Mix's 'Secret Love Song' finished at No.11 (380,000 combined sales), and Zayn's 'Pillowtalk' is at No.7. 

Elsewhere on the results list, One Direction's 'History' is at No.14, 'Work From Home' by Fifth Harmony is at 24, and Stormzy's 'Shut Up' is at No.35. You can see the full Top 40 below.
