Coldplay and Mumford & Sons have been confirmed as this year's BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend headliners.

Chris Martin and co will top the bill on May 29, with the 'Babel' stars performing a day earlier.

This year's sold-out event is taking place at the Exeter's Powderham Castle.

Biffy Clyro will perform on the In New Music We Trust stage, while Iggy Azalea, Ellie Goulding, Bastille and Nick Jonas are also on board.

They're joined on the line-up acts such as Chase and Status, Jake Bugg, Jess Glynne, Meghan Trainor, Sigma, Tom Odell, One Republic and The 1975.

The Weeknd, Years and Years, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Kygo, Bring Me The Horizon, Stormzy, Tame Impala, CHVRCHES, Fetty Wap and Twenty One Pilots will also perform.
