Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney and Rolling Stones could play 'mega' gig

A "mega" gig featuring acts like Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney could take place later this year, according to reports.

A host of media outlets say the star-studded gig would take place between October 7 to 10 at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California.

Also on the bill would be The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, The Who and Roger Waters.

The news has been given credence by Young's manager Elliot Roberts, who told the Los Angeles Times:

“It’s so special in so many ways.

"You won’t get a chance to see a bill like this, perhaps ever again. It’s a show I look forward to more than any show in a long time."

The reports suggest Coachella organisers Goldenvoice will promote the event.

An official announcement is expected to be released in a matter of weeks.
