Jennifer Lawrence praises Adele's music: 'I felt stronger and understood'

Vocal sensation Adele features in TIME magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World and Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence penned an essay about her for the publication.

In the piece, Lawrence explains that she first discovered Adele through her single 'Chasing Pavements' and has been inspired by her ever since:

"Then when (Adele's 2011 album) 21 came out, mine and billions of other lives were - not to sound dramatic - changed. Suddenly there were words to that before-indescribable pain, frustration, sadness, then revolution that all comes from a breakup."

She went onto add that Adele's music helped her to feel 'understood': I felt understood, I felt stronger, and above all, I hadn’t sung in front of a mirror with a hairbrush since Destiny’s Child."

Earlier this week, actor Bill Murray revealed that he is a big fan of Adele's music and confessed that the way she chats to the audience between songs is so endearing: "This is the way she talks in between songs. People are just gobsmacked by it, because you don't see it coming. And then she goes, 'Oh, here's a song. I hope I don't f**l this up 'cause of my drinking'. And then she goes back to singing, and you're completely spellbound."
