Coldplay have said that they think being asked to play Glastonbury is akin to 'Twilight' heartthrob Robert Pattinson asking you to touch his balls.

The ‘Clocks’ stars are one of several artists to be rumoured as 2011 headliners of the monster festival, having last headlined it in 2005.

In an interview, frontman Chris Martin said the band were waiting to get asked.

 “It depends if we get asked,” he said. “That’s like getting asked to dance by Robert Pattinson if you’re a young girl. Imagine if Robert Pattinson called and asked, 'Do you want to touch my balls?'.”

Coldplay are also set to release a festive single next week called ‘Christmas Lights’.
